1.0Program name and description

The text-message program is called Moneelo Learning Notes (the "Program"). It is operated by Moneelo, a brand of The Nelson M Group LLC. If you opt in, we send recurring automated text messages to the mobile number you provided with educational personal finance information, confirmations and service messages, and announcements about new guides and resources.

Moneelo is not a bank, lender, credit service, investment firm, or financial adviser. How you manage your money is always your own decision.

2.0How to opt in

You can join by completing the form on our Get Started or SMS Notifications page and checking the separate, unchecked educational-texts consent box. You can also text START to join at 888-924-0660. We then send a welcome text that says “Text START to join” the program. Message and data rates may apply and message frequency may vary. You are never required to agree to receive text messages in order to use the Services or to buy anything. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

3.0Types of messages and examples

• Educational: confirmation of your request, educational personal finance information, reminders about topics you asked about, and service notices.

We never ask you to reply with account numbers, card numbers, Social Security numbers, or other sensitive information by text.

4.0Message frequency

Message frequency varies depending on the topics you chose and the guides we publish. Most subscribers receive no more than about 8 messages per month. You may receive additional messages when you reply to us or request information.

5.0Costs

The Program is free from Moneelo, but message and data rates may apply according to your mobile plan. Contact your carrier for details.

6.0How to opt out (STOP)

You can cancel at any time. Reply STOP to any message (you may also use STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT). We will send a one-time confirmation that you have been unsubscribed and send no further messages unless you opt in again. If you opted in to both types of texts, STOP ends both. 7.0How to get help (HELP)

Reply HELP to any message for help, or contact us at [email protected] or 888-924-0660.

8.0Opting back in

If you stopped messages and want to rejoin, reply START to a previous Moneelo message or complete the opt-in form again.

9.0Supported carriers and carrier disclaimer

The Program is available on most major U.S. wireless carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, and many regional carriers. Carriers and their affiliates are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to effective transmission from your carrier and your device's capabilities and coverage. Moneelo does not guarantee that every message will be delivered or delivered on time. The Program is for U.S. numbers only.

10.0Privacy and mobile information

We respect your privacy. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. We may share information with service providers (such as our SMS platform and carriers) solely to deliver the messages and operate the Program. See our Privacy Policy.

11.0Your responsibilities

You confirm that you are the subscriber or customary user of the mobile number you provide and are authorized to consent to messages on it. Please tell us if your number changes. Text messages are not encrypted, so please do not include sensitive personal or account information in replies.

12.0Limitation of liability and disputes

The disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute-resolution provisions (including arbitration and class-action waiver) in our Terms & Conditions apply to the Program. To the extent permitted by law, Moneelo, The Nelson M Group LLC, and our service providers are not liable for any delay, failure, or misdelivery of messages, or for any damages resulting from messages sent in accordance with your consent.

13.0Changes to these SMS Terms

We may modify these SMS Terms. We will post updates with a new "Last updated" date, and where required we will request your renewed consent.
